Dive Gear Servicing
Scuba Gear Servicing
We service all major brand Regulators, BCDs, Dive Computers, Dive Cylinders, Wetsuits and Drysuits.

Scuba Regulators
Most regulators require annual servicing or a tune-up. For the yearly service, regulators are striped and specially cleaned, parts are replaced with new service kits then tuned and tested.

BCDs
BCD Servicing is annual as some inflators are serviceable, and some are disposable and need replacing. We strip BCDs clean and check all dump valves, replace o-rings where necessary and use service kits for the inflators.

Dive Computers
Dive computer batteries need replacing as needed, all makes and models are different, battery life also depends on how the diver uses their computer. We recommend changing them before a dive trip. Computers are specially cleaned, o-rings replaced as necessary and then pressure tested for integrity.

Dive Tanks
Your dive tanks have to be hydrostatically tested every year. Without this annual stamp being in test, your cylinder cannot be filled by any dive shop.
We recommend that you get your dive tanks tested in the offseason depending on where you live. This way, you don’t have to go without diving when the weather and time are excellent.

Wetsuits and Drysuits
Wetsuit repair often involves the reconstruction or replacement of zipper, tears to seams repaired. Freediving and Spearfishing wetsuit tears in the raw neoprene can also be repaired. Drysuit repairs can involve leak tests to find holes, Latex neck and wrist seal replacement.
Drysuit zipper replacement and drysuit boots replaced or altered for sizing.

Speargun Servicing
Spearfishing gun rigging is offered instore and can be done on the spot most of the time. Speargun servicing include installation of new gun bungee, new muzzle replacement or upgrade, monoline replacement, spear replacement and new speargun rubbers.
Please note that not all guns can be repaired or serviced.
SCUBA DIVING Regulators that we service in house
Regulator servicing brands include Aqua Lung, Atomic Aquatics, Apeks, Cressi, Oceanpro, Oceanic, Scubapro, TUSA and Zeagle.
When Does My Dive Gear Need Servicing?
It is highly recommended that all regulators and buoyancy compensators (BCD’s) get serviced annually.
About Dive Equipment Maintenance
Regardless of how much use they received, in fact, it is even more important to have your scuba diving equipment serviced if it has not been used for quite a while or if you only use your equipment over summer for example.
It is also cheaper to have your scuba diving equipment serviced regularly and avoid unnecessary replacement of significant and often expensive components. Most regulators and buoyancy compensators warranty terms will also require the servicing of the item annually.
How Long Dose It Take?
Dive Gear Australia offer equipment servicing on all major brands. Most dive equipment takes around one week to two weeks for servicing.
Just bring your dive gear into our store, and we’ll look after it for you.
We also run a fantastic Equipment Maintenance Course will prepare for looking after your Scuba Equipment.
When to service scuba diving cylinders?
Your dive tanks have to be hydrostatically tested every year. You can determine when your dive cylinder needs to be tested by checking the month and year stamps on the neck of the bottle. If the date was more than one year ago, your tank needs testing. for example, if the test stamp is 18/02 the tank can only be filled until the end of 02/19
